I love that song man, like you said, the emotions it invokes are powerful!
I liked the little variations you added, it's cool when the drum comes in and some of the vocal additions are nice! Your voice cracks a bit in the highest notes but hey....I can't sing so I can't really complain :) congrats for the cool cover dude!

about the section issue well I believe it's wrong to put music in the wrong category because you feel you "belong" in a certain category. The classification is made so that people can search for certain types of music and find that kind of music. Next thing you know is you have pop in classical, metal in punk, trance in ambient and the sections become useless
I don't have much to say about the song itself, it's professional :)
