In my opinion, what would be really kick-ass, would be the abilty to make an entire show, not just a song. Like, adding smoke, lights, pyrotechnics and such.

hey i luv pom, its in my favs and has been in my favs since it came out.i luv the whole thing about it, but i no u said something about flash being hard on u when it comes to auido. but if u could, i hav an idea (like every1 in this place =D) but could u somehow make lyrics in there? and if not try to allow us to use r mics with pom 2? because ive listined to my songs ovr and ovr, and i thought something was wrong with them. i found out what it was: NO LYRICS! but i cant download pom or any of the songs on there {my computer is retarded >:( )} and use Windows Media Maker. so if u would help that would be awesome!

I Have a billion ideas but im listing down the ones I thought could be nesescary(w/e) (pls dont blame me if i copied your ideas as I didnt read the ENTIRE list of comments)
1. Please make it appropriate for all ages, we dont a want boobz in there and kids cant enjoy the fun cuz SOMEBODY , put boobz in there. Also, no vulgarities, nudity, sick jokes, trying to make sick jokes , not funny sick jokes, trying to make sick jokes that are not funny sick jokes sick jokes sick jokes. and last of all , SICK JOKES.i must emphasize on the sick jokes , sick jokes sick jokes sick jokes sick jokes sick jokes.... sick jokes......
2. Currency, when you complete a certain song in career mode, depening on how well you played, you get payed a certain amout of money(eg. Got C+ and earned $750) The money you collect can buy you new guitars, drums, basses, so on. If enough money is earned, can unlock a secret character or song. Maybe a composer .
3. Achievements. Put an achievements tab where you can see what special things you have done (eg. Get A+ in 10 songs in hard mode, unlocked all secret songs) . This can lead to ...
4. Secrets. No point getting achievements if there is no rewards.(eg. 3 Achievements unlocked = uhh... Super crazy irish difficult expert advanced mode)
5. Make a name for your band and compete with other * NPC bands* to win the Annual Best Music Awards ( ABMA ( W/e). If the music is good( I dont know how to do that but anyway) you earn a trophy which can help you in career or challenge mode.
6. Rankings(scoreboard) . Nort like F, B+ ,S , D- or w/e. I mean like if you get all S's in all songs in career mode, your ranking would be " Teh Godliest Chuck Norris shoop da whoop pedobear". But if all songs get D- or D+ or c, you get the rank" An old lady can kill you with a nickel"
7. House. A rock star cant live liek a bum on a street! not much about it here
it is just to buy gating and reinforced doors so PAPARAZZI cant break into your house. But, the less popular , the less paparazzi, therefore , the less money. BUT!! the more popular, the more paparazzi, therefore , the more money(to buy gating).
8. I WANT A GH3 inspired part. compose a song and play it. Upload any songs. Do anything, can even record your own voice =D.
9. AND THE LAST OF ALL..... the u;ltimate ending, an epic cutscene showdown to see which is the best band in the universe, you will be playing agaainst an alien team lol.

All Ages: Yeah I guess someone here is a puritain...I'll try to cut down on cussing but meh...kids all know what are boobs and say FUCKING FUCK anyway...
Money system: The customization and extras in POM2 are already based on money earned from live concerts but the money you get is not based on the score but like in real-life based on the number of people who came to your show...the more fans you got the more money you get no matter how bad you sucked...but if you sucked...you'll lose a bunch of fans and your next show will be empty...
Achievements: I have a stats sheet so I'll try to put as much cool little infos as possible :)
Secrets: What I wanna do is unlocking little funny clips as you play.
Fame: I'm not gonna go into analyzing music to say if it's good or not...that's not really possible...some like your song, some don't...there's no algorithm to say if a song is good.
Rankings: I was thinking of allowing a scoreboard with a score on each songs that exists in the community but that maybe pretty complex, I'll see about that...
And your rank titles are lame haha
House: Maybe you're mistaking punkers with britney spears....in POM2 you spend more of your time in the jam room
Interactive mode: The career mode is like GH or DDR...you compose your songs in the jam room...practice them all GH/DDR and play them live to earn money and fans again..ala GH/DDR.
Ending: Hmmm.....no? haha

Take your take, perfect it. I would suggest that you can see some crowd so you won't so it in a warehouse with 1$ lights (AKA Punk-O-Matic 1). Plus i would recommend to add some pinch harmonics, maybe slides... And, of course, MOAR DUDE ON DRUGS WITH NAKED PINGUINS !!!!!
In concert mode you play in front of your fans (a crowd)

Oh btw, wouldn't it be sick instead of adding the screams you have the player mic it out. I mean you should definitely add something where if the player has a mic with them they can totally rock out to it. I mean that is just my view. MIC IT OUT!!!
Well...I can't stop people from screaming in front of their computer while the music plays, with or without a mic....do I even have to do anything in the game about it?

From what I read, I liked the career mode a lot and am curious on how thats gonna turn out. As well as that section to dl others songs would be sweet too, all in game of course. Yeah if POM2 is a crazy success, it's in my ideas to push this idea to console....with ubisoft or on my own...not sure...Ubisoft could have a badass budget for a game like that hehe considering all the guitar heroes game and rock band and all....not of them actually let you compose the music....that could be interesting.
About the career mode I'm still trying to find a good mechanic to not make it too much like guitar hero or DDR.

A few things that made POM1 difficult, was I would find a new rhythm i wanted to put at the beginning of the song or something... and then I would have to remake the entire song, in other words you should add an insert function so you can insert a new line.
Also if your gonna make 40 riffs per instrument then there should be a function that you click the square you want then type in the number of the riff, so you don't have to click your way through them all.
And this one I doubt you could do, but if possible make a way to compile the selected riffs into an mp3 file and be able to download it or something...

Yeah...like better manipulation of the tracks...hmm yeah I agree...I'll see what I can do to make it really intuitive and easy.
The new riff selection should satisfy you, you can hold keys to do like beofre, cycle up or down or erase but by default, clicking on a box opens a little dialog with all the riffs...you can click on the one you want or click and hold to preview it. Should be quite easy to work with.
For the song to mp3 thing, it's not possible in flash frrom what I know....but I was thinking of making a little external application that would take the code as input and generate a mp3 or a wav if I have no mp3 encoder at hand.

Oh one more thing, is you should find a way crop off the beginning to a clip instead of just the end, like you know how you can put another riff right after a long riff it ends at the beginning of the new riff, but say you want just the end of the riff, is there some way you could do that?
