I love that song man, like you said, the emotions it invokes are powerful!
I liked the little variations you added, it's cool when the drum comes in and some of the vocal additions are nice! Your voice cracks a bit in the highest notes but hey....I can't sing so I can't really complain :) congrats for the cool cover dude!

thanks dude, i actually added those voice cracks on purpose. i can sing like an octave higher then i did in this recordind, but sometimes i like to add them so make it seem like theres a form of strain, relating to the song's message and pain it tries to express

about the section issue well I believe it's wrong to put music in the wrong category because you feel you "belong" in a certain category. The classification is made so that people can search for certain types of music and find that kind of music. Next thing you know is you have pop in classical, metal in punk, trance in ambient and the sections become useless
I don't have much to say about the song itself, it's professional :)

It's 2 things...

It's the riff from "I wanna be sedated"
and it's a bunch of the same riffs as the "She Can Really Swim" song on newgrounds which makes me understand they are premade loops
if you want a first stab at punk, grab a guitar and play :) not premade loops put together in a software :)
it's alright, I used to make ambiant music with loops...gotta start somewhere

I use a plugin for the strings - symphonic orchestra. Yeah - there are (and will be) vocals for this song - I need to find the confidence before I battle this one... ;) **the vocals are VERY hard to sing... ** but if I pull it off, it shall be good. ;)
