atleast your being smart and having a free version instead of a pay version
and the games plenty big enough now so these new features are just candy
anyone who makes a steam only game without a smaller online version is a moron

you think so?
At least the game's popularity could bring in some backers
I don't know we'll try and see how it goes.

I Love your zombie games but i will get to my point i am fan story and the game play is is best seen long time out of a flash game. So if redo's are on steam for 5$ i buy them in a zombie BITE. I know this is big thing to ask but could you add may be like a second story line in each redo with new characters with new zombies in the new story lines. I know i know new story line's you have wire but i Super fan of story and this just a idea so you don't have do this. Two more thing to say to you got me hooked on the story line and i will Back you till i die again :D

P.S. If i have bad grammar in the comment don't balm me i am Russian trying to type in English.

yeah its already a big game i mean its plenty of fun now but if you made it in HD my computer would asplode

Well right now it explodes cause it's flash and flash is slow and crap
if it was Unity it would be accelerated by your graphics card

i would definitely buy it on steam

That would be great I had a lot of problems finishing the ROTD 2 on flash, I would certainly buy it on steam

Oh hell yes, that would be awesome. Playing the Road of the Dead series has always been an incredible experience for me, and an HD remake of it would make the experience even better. It would be, quite simply, beyond amazing.

Awesome, yeah I think it would be nice.

I will say this: ROTD2 is awesome, because I can play it on my loser of a laptop (Intel M 1.6Ghz and 512 MB). You said this game would play on a turd like mine, and you were correct; the memory buffering/scaling works better than I could have hoped.

Good idea ill buy it! but i just hope i doesnt crash like other Unity3D games >:(

No doubt i'd buy it but since you're working with 3d graphics have you ever thought about possibly making a Dead Island style game? I know it's quite a feat and it's not gonna happen any time soon but if all goes well with the HD remake then i would consider the option. Personally i would pay 30 or 40 bucks for a game like that. Btw when i say Dead Island style game i mean like a freeroaming fps kinda thing with rpg elements.

there's plenty game like that coming DayZ, Last Light or something (Dead Island 2), State of Decay, etc
we strive to make original games

Fuck yeah!
Do that, i'd pay a million dollars.

Can we set the kickstarter goal to 1 million and you're the only backer then?

I would definitely want to see something like that but being a broke gamer.I probably wouldn't be able to buy it.I would for sure at least try and donate something to the kickstarter.100% support from me all the way.Stay awesome Evil-Dog

One more quick thought.Reading about the co-op things it could be like you said one driving one shooting or you could do it where there's several Humvees (no more than 3 preferably) and it could be a race to the finish while fighting whordes of the dead SOBs.The other players can slam into and damage the other players and they can also blow them up with the mounted weapons. When your vehicle blows up you respawn at the same place and keep going.Sound pretty cool?Hope I helped

not for steam, but for a mobile device.

you will have far more success with this on an android or iphone since the gameplay does really fit well with a handheld and there is currently no other game like it on the market (yet).

unity3d is a really good engine for mobile games (and in general a powerful tool for game developement)

once you reel in the bucks with the first polished game on a mobile device you can start working on another road of the dead sequel that combines the overall story arc and characters from throughout the series for steam/pc release.

i suggest so hard that you go for mobile release of the first game since not that many people know of this game or dont dare to go to this site to test it out.
some even dont know that newgrounds even exist.

but almost everyone has a smartphone nowadays and people are more willing to test games with it.

get this game on the google play store before someone else does it and you lose your chance to make your series more famous/recognizable and profitable.

dont make the same mistake to wait so long for it like Blips did it with pandemic (plague inc)
------------------------

also co-op would be way more interesting and useful in a potential Road of the dead 3/dead world sequel where you have to drive supplies and other things from one city/quarantine zone to another while avoiding bandits and zeds in a post apocalyptic world.

think of mad max with the undead.

Our kickstarter will probably be about a release on steam, pc, mac, linux, mobile as well. ouya as well.

making the game with unity allows that

yeah fafsh, we do def need to get road1 on mobiles before someone ripps it off. Luckily, making a rotd game requires a lot of work and is difficult, so the parasites haven't bothered yet haha.

Flash has to much performance issues. You definetly need to go Unity3D. I am backing this up 100%. :)
Also please post your link on a kick starter!

For sure, wE're preparing the kickstarter

I'm actually surprised that you didn't try out html5 for the sequel.
Looking forward to an HD remake that combines the two games. Two stories in one would be awesome! I would pay to play this game if it was legit remade, and available on steam. XD

I'd seriously consider backing this if there were a non-Steam version as well. I don't agree with DRM in any form, even Steam, so a DRM-free version would definitely have my backing.

So basically, we should just make sure it's pirated and we don't make a dime, sure.

That would be just awesome, looking forward to it!

Thats awesome i love to see RotD1 and 2 in 3d and also ill vote for it to be in steam :) could be good if it is in mobiles too.
