BTW punk o matic 2 is an incredible music game, I do have 1 or 2 pointers for you though.
While the game has alot more variation in terms of the ability to create music than the first one, but it still feels moderately restrictive.
If you are planning on making a third punk o matic, which i wouldn't really worry about right now here are some things you should do in terms of creating music.
You should have the ability to change the tempo to vary the songs a bit more, cuz it is a bit irritating tha there is only one available tempo, also, you should create lead riffs and rhythm riffs for every single note, not just certain ones (unless it's impossible) and lastly, you should be able to add in riffs in between the beats, don't get me wrong, all the special riffs you have in punk o matic 2 are great, but they don't always go with the song you're trying to create.
That's really all the pointers i have for you, don't worry about having to change the entire formula, because all the things you can do with the music are flawless, it's just composing the music itself that feels slightly restrictive, I hope you found this advise useful, and remember, it doesn't matter what you decide to do with this series, you're still awesome ^_^
